How It Works
The Smart Transfer Switch connects between your home’s electrical panel and your Jackery E5000 Plus. During normal operation, your home runs on grid power. The moment an outage occurs, the switch automatically transfers your selected circuits to battery power — seamlessly, in milliseconds. When grid power returns, it switches back automatically.
Who Needs This
If you’re investing in the E5000 Plus for home backup, the Smart Transfer Switch is the component that makes it fully automatic. Without it, you’re manually plugging appliances into the power station during an outage. With it, you don’t have to do anything — the system handles it.
